Besharat Arts Foundation launches “Art in the School” project

January 9, 2019/in News/by Aseneth

Elberton County School has become the first public schools in Georgia participating in Besharat Arts Foundation’s “Art in the School” project.

Besharat Arts Foundation considers art to be a crucial part of the education process. It is important for children to be exposed to art as early as elementary school.

The role of art in school education surpasses intellectual and aesthetic enrichment. Art’s presence evokes an emotional response, such as compassion and appreciation for one another.

We created the “Art in the Shcool” project with the aspiration that daily contact with art that represents the values of beauty and wisdom will form a “habit” and will amplify high moral standards and decency in students.

By the end of 2018, Besharat Arts Foundation has installed nearly 100 artworks in the Primary, Elementary and Middle Schools of Elberton County, GA with the support of Besharat Gallery
